The happy path gets designed by default. The states that decide whether someone trusts a financial product are the other ones: the declined transaction, the account under review, the transfer that has not settled, the verification that failed for a reason the copy refuses to name.
Those states are designed here as first class screens. What the person sees, what it says in plain language, what they can do next, and who they contact when the answer is nothing.
Output is a full flow rather than a set of hero screens, including empty, loading, partial, and failed states, in a file your engineers can inspect and measure.
